Food Processing Expo 2017 a Success

CLFP’s Food Processing Expo 2017 was a huge success with more than 2,500 participants in the two-day event held February 8-9 at the Sacramento Convention Center. The day prior to the Expo, a first-time Workforce Summit was well attended and featured an interactive forum providing information and guidance for food processors on a variety of human resource issues facing the industry. Expo workshops also attracted large audiences. Workshop topics included Finding a Co-Packer, Prop 65, Water Conservation and Preparing for Food Safety Audits. In addition, many CLFP food processors members and area college food science students met one-on-one for a first-time Expo Speed Interviewing event.
