Early Pricing Deadline is Jan. 9 for Food Processing Expo 2017 Workshops

Food Processing Expo 2017 will be bigger and better than ever with two days of hot topic sessions that will appeal to both large and small food processors, as well as two specialty workshops on human resources and sanitation. The early pricing deadline for these workshops is Jan. 9.

The Expo is the largest food processing trade show in California and will be held Feb. 8-9 in California’s Farm-to-Fork Capital of Sacramento. The workshops will be held on Feb. 7.

The specialty workshops will focus on two issues of ongoing importance to food processors. The Food Processing Workforce Summit will address the many human resource challenges faced by food processors. The Food Processing Facility Sanitation Workshop will provide a thorough understanding of cleaning and sanitizing food processing environments, which is timely due to new requirements related to the Food Safety Modernization Act. Both workshops will be held on Feb. 7.

Hot topic sessions include: Proposition 65 – the latest developments and risks for food processors; how to prepare for food safety audits; cost effective water conservation; lawsuits challenging food label claims; finding a co-packer and growing your business; and developing and testing new products. "The 2017 Expo programs truly offers something for everyone, whether you are a large established food processor, just getting started or somewhere in between," said CLFP Chairman Burt Fleischer of the Hilmar Cheese Company.

The Expo also will include an expansive trade show floor, featuring a wide array of equipment, products and services for food processors, a Tasting Pavilion and, for the first time, a speed interviewing event designed to match food processors with interested students.

Registration rates for the Expo are considerably lower than other similar industry trade shows, allowing multiple individuals from your company to participate.
