CLFP and PG&E to Hold Joint Energy Workshops in October

CLFP is partnering with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) to provide two workshops in October specifically for food processing companies. Due to state environmental regulations such as the Renewable Portfolio Standard and the greenhouse gas Cap-and-Trade Program, the cost of energy remains an area of significant focus for the coming years. Keeping energy costs in line will become even more vital in the effort to remain competitive. PG&E, as well as other utilities, offer programs designed specifically to aid companies in increasing the efficiency of their industrial operations and lowering long term costs.

The workshops will be held on October 9 at the PG&E Training Center in Stockton, and on October 29 at the PG&E Gas Operations Center in Clovis. The CLFP/PG&E workshops will focus on available incentive programs, financing options for energy projects, new technologies, workforce training programs and third-party services. In addition, several case studies will be presented regarding projects other food companies have successfully completed for reducing their energy bills.
