A  Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) workshop will be held on Feb. 18 during Food Processing Expo 2016.  The workshop is being organized and sponsored by Alchemy. FSMA was signed into law on Jan. 4, 2011, and according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, is ushering in the most sweeping reforms of food safety laws in more than 70 years. FSMA includes new regulations for produce farms and food processing facilities. This workshop will provide an overview of the new FSMA final rules, help food processors navigate these new regulations and learn how to prepare for them. Following are some highlights of the workshop:

  • Why is this Important? New Rules and Expectations
  • Square One: Verification and Validation of Preventative Controls
  • The First Line of Defense: Front-line Workers
  • The Inspector to Investigator Conversion: Reducing Risk and Liability with New Regulatory Oversight
