CLFP Providing Processor Members with COVID-19 Assistance

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

CLFP continues to actively assess the evolving COVID-19 situation and how it is affecting the state’s food processing industry. CLFP is in regular contact with a wide variety of government agencies, industry and association coalitions and others and is holding weekly COVID-19 Issues Forums, providing members with current information and the opportunity to discuss COVID-19 issues affecting their operations.

The forums are being held with CLFP processor members to share information about state and federal responses and rules related to the coronavirus, best practices in the industry and to provide an open forum to discuss issues and challenges the situation has created in the plant and for general business practices.

Representatives from CLFP affiliate member Fisher Phillips, LLP, a law firm specializing in labor and employment, are participating in the calls to help answer questions about virus-related labor issues. The calls have also featured guest speakers, including Jenny Lester Moffitt, Undersecretary of Agriculture for California’s Department of Food and Agriculture and Dr. Donna Garren with the American Frozen Food Institute.

CLFP has a comprehensive list of links to information regarding COVID-19 issues affecting food processing operations. For more information contact Rob Neenan.
