Food Processing Expo 2020 was a success, garnering a large crowd with well-attended and topical educational workshops, two dynamic keynote speakers and a first-time Technology & Innovation Showcase.

The 2020 Expo was held at a new venue – the Santa Clara Convention Center, Feb. 12-13. The kickoff speaker was Phil Kafarakis, president of the Specialty Food Association, who discussed current and future food trends. The day two Food Processing Technology Breakfast Keynote Speaker was Dr. Ken Goldberg, UC Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Lab, and an internationally known expert on robotics and artificial intelligence. Goldberg addressed his vision for the future on how robotics and humans will jointly work together and complement each to achieve optimal manufacturing and other goals. Look for more information about Goldberg’s remarks in the next issue of CLFP’s California Food Producer magazine.

The CLFP Supplier Host Council Silent Auction & Reception, held each year at the Expo, attracted a large crowd and raised funds for CLFP’s Scholarship Program.
