New Option for Affiliate Members to Contribute to CLFP’s Scholarship Program

CLFP affiliate members now have the option to contribute to CLFP’s Scholarship Program by indicating an amount on their dues renewal form.

Every year CLFP processor members and its Supplier Host Council raise over $30,000 for the CLFP Scholarship Program. The funds are used for food science scholarships at six universities and to fund scholarships for families who work at member food processing plants. The primary avenues for raising scholarship funds are the Supplier Host Council Golf Tournament and the Silent Auction held during CLFP'd Food Processing Expo.

CLFP members have been very generous over the years, but to keep pace with rising tuition costs and increasing demand for scholarships, CLFP explored ways to beyond the golf tournament and auction raise additional funds and to support more students. CLFP encourages all of its affiliate members to participate in this new effort to support the families who work in member food processing plants and universities training the next generation of food scientists. If you have questions about the Scholarship Program, contact Olivia Johnson in the CLFP office.
