CLFP will hold its eighth annual Capitol Day in Sacramento on June 21. The event provides an excellent forum for CLFP member company representatives to meet with legislators, regulators and representatives of Governor Jerry Brown’s office to discuss issues affecting the food processing industry. It’s also an opportunity for legislators and government representatives to see the companies and people behind CLFP.

The California legislature is reviewing a number of critical issues in 2016 that will impact the food processing industry, including water, food labeling legislation, environmental compliance, taxes, regulatory reform and litigation reform measures.

Capitol Day will include briefings from the Governor’s staff and Senate and Assembly Leadership, visits with legislators who represent regions with large concentrations of food processors and a legislative reception.
