Chapter Reports

The GAMMA chapter successfully hosted a one-day Education Day on April 12, 2025, at the Civic Campus of The Ottawa Hospital in Ottawa, Ontario. The event brought together numerous MDR professionals and allied staff, fostering valuable knowledge exchange and professional growth.

Industry experts and vendor representatives delivered insightful presentations on best practices, standards applications, and MDR techniques. Attendees also enjoyed swag bags, prize draws, and exciting door prizes, adding to the event’s positive atmosphere.

Meanwhile, the ETA chapter has yet to fill the secretary position following the resignation of an executive. The chapter president will appoint a replacement from among the members.

🌍 Honoured to Represent Canada at the MENA FHSS Conference 2025 🌍 I’m excited to announce that MDRAO (Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario) will be participating as an official delegation from Canada at the 4th Annual MENA FHSS Conference, taking place on October 1st and 2nd, 2025, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This prestigious international event, organized by Veridon Global and endorsed by MENA FHSS, brings together healthcare leaders and experts to advance global practices in sterilization, infection prevention, and patient safety. The 2025 theme focuses on automation, artificial intelligence, innovation, and sustainability in Central Sterile Services Departments (CSSDs). 🇨🇦 As part of the MDRAO delegation, I am deeply honoured to represent Canada and contribute to this global dialogue on improving healthcare systems through education, innovation, and collaboration. 🔹 MDRAO Delegation: 1.
