Happy New Year everyone!

There was an opportunity made available to Lambda members to join with Theta Chapter for the Education they provided on November 22nd, 2017. A few members from Lambda were able to participate. Lambda Chapter has not had a meeting since September 2017 due to the unavailability of our Executive. This has been a result of extreme staffing shortages in Thunder Bay due to illness.

There has been a suggestion put forth by Theta Chapter President Tammy Bernardo to have Lambda merge with Theta Chapter. I feel this sort of decision needs to be discussed at a Lambda meeting, which we are planning for early February 2018. Focusing on ways to increase our membership and presentation of education and participation should be considered. MDRAO re-certification course closes on Feb 1, 2018, giving members a chance to refresh their knowledge. The last annual OTN/Classroom MDRDO course will take place in Thunder Bay May 7-12th, 2018 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Center. Timmins will be the Host site for the classroom course.

Lambda’s Chapter Executive would like to thank everyone for their continued support. We encourage our members to continue reading the MDRAO newsletter on-line for ongoing information and articles related to our ever changing profession.
