Message from the President

Message from the President

I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the Board of Directors and the MDRAO administration for their strength, optimism, and dedication as we continue to move forward through challenging times. I would also like to formally thank Tammy Bernardo for accepting the VP position.

I want to thank our past presidents for their encouragement and wisdom that has guided us as we continue to strive to meet our organizational goals.

Our text book has now been dedicated to all of the MDRAO members for their continued commitment and passion towards Quality Patient Care. You are an integral part of the health care team.  You deserve this recognition for pursuing your educational aspirations to remain current in your practices, and ensuring that our patients are safe.

My sincere appreciation to our many Medical Device Reprocessing Vendors for their continued support toward our organization. We depend on you immeasurably in both our health care facilities and classrooms, and always look forward to spending time with you at the conferences.

The Board of Directors are continuing to focus on education with the implementation of on-line exams for both the Refresher and Distance courses for 2017-18. We have plans to move the MDRAO Courses to the on-line format for 2018-19. We have been busy with preparing the magazine and news-letters.    We are planning another membership survey following the conference this fall.  We plan to update our mission/vision statements and will be looking to you for your input.

The Constitutional changes were presented at the Annual General Meeting in May.  Voting took place immediately following the meeting, and the results are now available on the website.

We have finalized the Conference agenda and are very excited to see everyone this fall.  We will be celebrating Canada’s 150th Anniversary and are requesting red/white attire at the banquet.
MDRAO  has so much to celebrate as we continue to thrive as one of the leading Medical Device Reprocessing organizations in Canada.  We are strengthened by our people.  We are very proud to report that we continue to see a significant increase in our membership and student registrations.   Our books are recognized by the Canadian Standards Association and continue to be used in colleges throughout Canada.

We look forward to continue to work towards re-positioning our organization to meet the needs of our members for the future.

Informed and high-performing MDR teams keep our patients safe.

I wish you and your families a wonderful safe summer.

Regards,
Denise Bosnjak
