Denise Bosnjak - President

Hello everyone, as we settle into the cooler weather, the leaves are changing, and Thanksgiving will soon be upon us. The Board has so many things to be grateful for this year.

Our chapter meetings are being scheduled in your communities to celebrate MDR week and the Christmas season. Please plan to attend your chapter meetings if at all possible. This year you will be credited for the education sessions that you attend to use towards your CMDRT recertification, as well as adding to your personal files.

Our conference was a great success this year, and the Pan Am games theme was a hit. Thank you to all who attended and participated in the event. Our conferences will now take place every other year. CAMDR will be hosting their conference in Toronto next fall. All of their information is on the CAMDR website, as well as on the current CSAO newsletter.

Our chapters will be busy planning Education days across Ontario for their members next year. As a member, you are eligible to attend as many Education days as you desire. I plan to attend several, and look forward to meeting you there.

Our new name was introduced at the conference and several logo designs were presented. We will be moving forward as the ‘Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario’ (MDRAO). A new name comes with a new logo. We will be sending out a survey next month with several logo options for your consideration, as well as your vote.

Every vote counts so we encourage everyone to get involved and be a part of this new strategic change for our organization in relation to moving forward. We will notify everyone of the new logo as soon as possible on our website. We will then begin changing our documentation, and addressing the legal aspects of our name change over the next year. Look for updates on our website.

Next year is an election year. We need to begin succession planning for all of our chapters including the Board of Directors. Please consider the opportunities within your chapters and also representing your chapter on the board level.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact your chapter representatives. All of the details will be discussed at your chapter meetings. I encourage all of you to get involved, as it is an exciting time for our organization.

I would like to wish all of the members and their families a very safe and Happy Thanksgiving!

Regards,

Denise Bosnjak
CSAO President
