Delta Chapter Report

The Delta Chapter met at the Niagara Regional Health Care System at the St. Catharines site in October 2013 to celebrate MDRD week. We shared slides of the Delta Chapter Education Day, and the CSAO Conference, and enjoyed a tour of their new facility. We met again in December to celebrate Christmas at Grand River Hospital in Kitchener. Tammara Champoux presented the T-Doc Instrument Management System. We also enjoyed a Chinese dinner made especially for us.

Our final meeting was at the Juravinski Hospital in Hamilton in March where we discussed the new CSAO Strategic Plan, Elections and the Delta Education Day planned for 2015. We also discussed ideas for our October 2014 MDRD Week meeting.

We introduced the new members of the Delta executive Deo Macadangdang from Hamilton Health Sciences as treasurer, Tony Leite from St Josephs Healthcare is the new Vice President, Tamija Samji from Cambridge Memorial Hospital is secretary, and Lisa McBriarty from Brantford General Hospital will become the Educator. This is a new position for the Delta Chapter we look forward to the development of this role over the next two years. Anne Kustra from Hamilton Health Sciences will become the new Delta Chapter Representative.

We also held a draw and picked 14 lucky winners to attend this year’s CSAO Conference in September 2014.

We expressed our sincere gratitude to Marie Savaria and Dianne Rautenberg for all of their support and efforts over the years. Their passion and dedication to the Delta Chapter has enabled us to grow to 82 members to date...we look forward to continuing our chapter development in the coming years, and will look to Marie and Dianne for there expertise and advice.

Respectfully,

Arnold Hoffmann, Chapter President
