THETA Chapter Report

THETA CHAPTER PRESIDENTS MESSAGE – Nancy Aelick

Happy new year and all the best in 2014 from your Theta Chapter Executive: Colleen Landers, Jeffery Phelps, Tammy Bennardo, Nancy Aelick

Our Theta Chapter membership stands at 99. Thank you to all our members for participating in our meetings and supporting the Theta Chapter.

So far we have had two great Education Sessions with good attendance; September 18, on Manufacturers Instructions November 6, on Monitor and Recall.

Please join us for the upcoming Education Sessions: February 12, 2014,  Verification Event ID # 28031980; April 9, 2014,  OR/CS Relations Event ID # 28032104.

If you are not already registered and would like to attend, please contact your Telemedicine Coordinator to register or contact me at naelick@hsnsudbury.ca.

2014 is an Election year; please get involved in your chapter and put your names forward to be involved in a great Association that brings education and information involving Medical Device Reprocessing to all hospitals in Ontario. Nomination forms will be available on the website in January. We are looking for energetic people with a passion for the CSAO to become involved at the chapter level.

We are also hosting our 5th Annual Education Day April 11 and 12, 2014, in North Bay at the Best Western Hotel. This is a fun and educational way to network and meet other members. As well as networking with the vendors who educate us, support us and provide us with the products we use every day in our field of expertise. For Delegate Registration, please contact anyone of the Theta Chapter Executive and we will be happy to send it on.

Thank you to all who participated in the online CSAO survey in August; this information was valuable in helping us work through our Strategic Planning for the organization for the next 3–5 years.
