Recently we met in Toronto on March 21 & 22. Present were Louis Konstant, Nancy Aelick, Darlene Keast, Alan Scott, Jeff Phelps, Lorna Coutoulas and Cindy Cole. Regrets were sent by Trevor Lee.

I reported at the March meeting that I received an immediate letter of resignation from Trevor Lee in Lambda Chapter for his position of Chapter President as well as his seat as the Chapter Representative on the Executive Committee. Trevor has been a valuable member of the executive committee for three years serving as Director of Membership & Chapter Development and more recently as Director of Communication. Trevor has focused his career in a different direction and we all wish Trevor the very best in his new endeavour.

Other items discussed at the executive meetings were:

Quotes from our webmaster were received and all voted in favour of proceeding with the development of online registration for membership, education courses, conference delegates & conference exhibitors.

We assess our membership status and discuss ways to promote and increase membership in all parts of the province. Work is being done a brochure that will promote CSAO membership and will be distributed to students taking the course and at the conference.

The MDRT Course has continued success in all Chapters along with the distance and recertification course as well as sales of the textbook and workbook, providing the Association financial growth. Requests have come from other provinces to become a CSAO Education Coordinator. Long discussions regarding this led to a consensus to allow out of Province Education Coordinator. Lisa Ledda of Alberta is our first out of province CSAO Education Coordinator. We welcome Lisa and feel this will be very beneficial to the organization in expanding and growing our course as well as potential membership growth.

We have received quotes and presentations from two companies offering Strategic Planning sessions. References are being checked and a decision will be made very soon. Our hope is to start this process in the spring. Part of the process will be a survey to all members. When you receive this, please take the time to complete as your feedback is very important and essential to our help guide us in the future directions of the association.

The constitution was reviewed and proposed changes documented. The proposed constitutional changes will be coming out shortly and will be voted on by members at the annual conference in September.

The annual conference in September is coming together nicely. We have all the speakers confirmed along with the theme & entertainment. Information will be available on the website.
