Nancy Aelick - Vice President

I am pleased to begin my new role as Vice President. Coming from the Education Director to Vice President, I look forward to new and exciting challenges with the CSAO.

With the role of VP, I will also sit on the Canadian Standards Association representing the CSAO. Members of the CSA committees are reviewing the following standards pertaining to Medical Device Reprocessing.

Currently the draft, Z314 Medical Device Reprocessing – General Requirements, is now available for review and comment until October 30, 2012, on the new CSA Public Review Site (publicreview.csa.ca). Following Public Review, the full Technical Committee will meet to review and disposition any comments received. This document will be the introduction to changes coming to all the other Z314 series documents as they will be aligned to fit this new document, and no content will be repeated.

As Vice President my duties include overseeing the Education Portfolio, the foundation of our association, keeping abreast of the upcoming standards, along with the many other tasks needed to assist the President and work with the members to achieve an awesome association that is moving forward in the world of reprocessing.
