President's Message

Fellow members and associates.

Another year has come and gone. It has been a very busy year for the MDRAO and a very important year as well.

2019 was our 50th year. A year of many positive changes for our association, some big ones, small ones and a lot of them hidden in the background. These changes are important because it makes us more accountable to you, the members.

2019 was the year that saw the MDRAO put on one of the most successful conferences in recent memory.

Going forward into 2020, we will continue to tweak and streamline our online courses as well as promote our English and French texts through online sales and sales booths at various venues nationally and internationally as well.

We will continue to find ways to reach our fellow colleagues in other areas such as foot care clinics, dental offices, and veterinary clinics.

We have tried new innovative ways to reach out to our members with educational content through webinars. We are assessing the feedback from our first one this fall.

We are encouraging Chapters to try new innovative things with education and education days in 2020.

Next year is an election year, and we hope that you will consider getting involved with the executive at your chapter levels or even as a chapter representative at the provincial level.

We hope that you will review our Constitution and propose changes if you feel that they are necessary, review the proposed changes, and vote on them when the time comes. These changes will be very important this time as we continue to put this association right and get it running the way it should be running.

We thank you for being patient with us through these trying times, but we are sure that the outcome will be worth it.
