Director of Finance Newsletter Report Oct. 2019

Our new Financial Manager, Ryan from Becker Associates, has been hard at work reconciling records from June 2016 to May 2019. There were many different sources and he also had to track down missing data. 

The conference was a huge success, but the final balance on it is not available yet. In the four months since this board took over putting on the conference, many money-saving methods were identified. Unfortunately, because of previous commitments made, we were unable to implement them. However, the teamwork that went into selling booths and getting sponsors resulted in big numbers. Way to go guys! More was spent on audio/visual this year than in the past to make it the professional experience it was. Another unusual expense was the provincial board paying for the registrations of 5% of the membership. I think it was worth it to get as many people to our 50th as possible.

By now all chapters should have received the new standardized MDRAO Chapter Financial Report Form for 2018-2019. Please fill and return it to candia@mdrao.ca & finance@mdrao.ca so your chapter can receive its stipend.
