Colleen was on the MDRAO executive for twelve years holding positions of Secretary, Education, Vice President, President and Past President at the provincial level. Colleen contributed as a classroom coordinator for the past 28 years and has educated over 5000 students in the province.  In 2008 Colleen assisted as a volunteer in writing and publishing the first Canadian textbook and workbook on "Medical Device Reprocessing" and has reviewed and updated this textbook and workbook as a volunteer each year to the CSA standards. In 2018, she is assisting the association in putting the classroom course online and is editing and preparing the course.

Colleen has been Past President, President, Secretary, Treasurer and Educator for the chapter and served as the provincial Theta rep for 2 years back in 2008. She has organized the THETA chapter for the last 28 years, providing 4 meetings a year and chaired all 8 education days. Under Colleen’s guidance the THETA chapter has grown over the years and is one of the most active chapters in the MDRAO.

She sits on the Canadian Standards as a volunteer for the Medical Device Reprocessing Standards Technical committee for the past 18 years and on the Perioperative committee for 4 years. Colleen won the CSA Healthcare Award in 2005 for her work on the Canadian Standards and won the Isabel Campbell award and Acart Award for the MDRAO. She sits on the CAMDR board as educator and was an Accreditation Canada surveyor for past 5 years.

Colleen believes that education of reprocessing staff will reduce patient risk and works at providing that education throughout Ontario to achieve this goal.
