Hello, everyone!

As warm weather approaches, the MDRAO is getting ready to begin a new year with new teams across the province. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all new chapter and board members for their interest and commitment to medical device reprocessing as it relates to quality patient care. It is through change that the MDRAO is strengthened with innovation that continues to move us forward.

To all senior chapter and board members, thank you for your continued commitment to the MDRAO. It is with your wisdom and mentorship that our organization continues to grow and develop.

If you are considering a position at the chapter level, please contact the chapter executive teams directly to inquire about any vacant positions that may still be available. Please refer to our website for additional information.

Our annual meeting will take place May 24 at 5 p.m. via OTN. Chapter meetings will take place simultaneously across the province. Please plan to attend to receive all of the updates that will be presented, and refer to our website for additional information.

The online course is set to begin June 1, 2018. Special thanks to Tammy Bernardo, Colleen Landers and Diane King for their hard work. We will send MDRAO representation to the CAMDR and CSGNA conferences this fall in eastern Canada to promote our online courses as well as our textbooks, which are now available in French.

As my position as President moves on to Past President, I will plan to focus on Constitutional changes. I would like to acknowledge the new MDRAO President as of June 1, Tammy Bernardo. Tammy stepped up into the VP position from education director and has continued to manage her dual roles seamlessly. She is a valued member of our team. Congratulations, Tammy!

Finally, the new membership year begins on June 1. Please remember to sign up online early on the website.

I will look forward to seeing you all at the general meeting.

Wishing you and your families a very happy and safe summer.

Denise Bosnjak
MDRAO President
