DIRECTORS OF CHAPTER DEVELOPMENT ANNUAL REPORT
The Annual General Meeting was held on May 18th via OTN. We are Happy to announce our MDRAO conference will be held on September 10-12, 2017 at the International Plaza Hotel in Toronto. Medical Device Reprocessing week will also be held on October 8-14th, 2017. All chapters will be planning their meeting during that week and we are hoping all the facilities will be planning something to celebrate MDR week. MDRAO online store is up and running for those who are interested in visiting can do so on our website. There are small gifts that can be purchased to help celebrate MDRAO week in your facilities. Each chapter will be planning on drawing names of members who attend meetings and give them an opportunity to attend our conference this year.
To date the ETA chapter has had three meetings with lots of great discussions and take a ways. They are currently sitting at 302 members. Delta Chapter has also had three meetings with their most recent education meeting which took place at the high-power facility in Rochester NY. They currently have 222 members in their chapter. Sigma chapter had their most recent meeting in Windsor with guest speaker Dave Best from 3M. They currently have 81 members. Lambda chapter have had 2 meetings Via OTN in conjunction with the Theta chapter discussions on best practices in MDR and flexible scopes. Lambda currently has 51 members followed by Theta at a 164 members who have had 4 meetings Via OTN. Gamma Chapter currently has 95 members and have also had 2 meetings.
In total MDRAO currently have 952 members which consist of 53 managers, 11 new managers, and 359 technicians with 80 new technicians, 387 associates with 25 new associates, 25 honorary members and 12 out of province members.
The entire Chapter executive would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every member for contributions and continued support. Hope to see you all at the upcoming conference in September, 2017.
