THETA Chapter

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

Welcome all to a brand new year. Theta Chapter continues to grow in membership and is planning an education session and meeting on February 8th and again on April 12th. Unfortunately, we will not be holding an Education day this year as per our agreement with the Provincial Conference planners.

We have a distance MDRAO course lined up for May 9th-13th and are currently looking at proposals for MDRAO Constitutional amendments to be submitted and voted upon at the AGM May 18th.

We are looking forward to sending six members to the annual conference this year and anticipate a nice representation there as well.

We wish all members and Associates in all Chapters and capacities a very warm, healthy and prosperous New Year.
Yours Aye,
Jeffrey Phelps CD, CMDRT
President

Newsletter – Vice President/MDRAO Chapter Rep Report Tammy Bennardo CMDRT

The Theta Chapter Newsletter is emailed to all members quarterly. Members were asked to submit any articles or events occurring at your sites to Tammy Bennardo bennardot@sah.on.ca Newsletters will come out in October. If you would like to contribute, please email your ideas/articles to myself or Michelle Bellefeuille bellefeuillem@sah.on.ca

From Oct 13-16, Tammy attended the CAMDR conference in Toronto. This is a biennial conference that was filled with education, new technology and focus on our Canadian Standards of Practice.

Highlights of the conference that I experienced were meeting Dr. Michelle Alfa and her talks on Biofilm, endo scopes, endocavity probes and monitoring. The days were jam-packed with educations sessions, learning annexes and vendor time. Attendees were from all over Canada and I had the opportunity to network with new and old friends. Opportunities like this afford outstanding learning for the delegate to take back to their work places and share with others. There were over fifty exhibitors providing education and new innovations. Check out the CAMDR website for the presentations. The executive will be meeting via teleconference November 10th.

Constitution:

This was reviewed and proposed changes were voted on by all members attending. The accepted Theta changes were submitted to the office for voting on by all members at the AGM.

Education session

A one hour education session was given by Michelle Bellefeuille on Enzymatics which was well received and questions were asked and answered.

Happy New Year to all MDRAO members.
