As Spring comes we begin to reflect on another membership year coming to an end. It was an eventful year once again for the provincial MDRAO as well as all Chapters. It takes great team work from all involved to provide leadership in education delivery, networking opportunities and partnerships in industry and with other professional groups. We will continue to partner with both Pro Soft and Naylor for opportunities related to our web site, magazine, e-newsletter and mobile apps. Congratulations to all those involved in changing our group name from CSAO to MDRAO. This definitely reflects our profession and keeps us aligned with the national MDR theme.

The new third edition Manual for Reprocessing Medical Devices was made available this past year. The format of the manual was much improved with design and layout changes and new chapters being added. More work continues to be done with content development. There is an overwhelming interest for this new text across the country and the CSA has endorsed the manual as reference for CSA MDR certification.

We are partnering with vendors at all levels and we thank them for their educational and financial support of our association and profession.

Spread the word to any new MDR staff that CSAO is their provincial professional association and our local chapters support education and networking opportunities.

The Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016, and will be attended by OTN. As it is a voting year, we welcome all new Executive members into their new positions and thank all for their commitment the next two years ahead. We thank all members stepping down from their positions for a job well done.

Our 2015 CSAO conference was one of the best I could recall. The theme was "Partnering for Success: Raising the Bar in MDR." The feedback from delegates and vendors was extremely positive on all fronts. This fall the MDRAO will not host an annual conference for the first time in 46 years. Planning will soon commence for September 2017 conference. The annual MDRAO magazine will come out in June. We hope you find the articles and content useful and informative. Your ideas are welcome. Wishing all a great summer and membership year ahead.
