It’s hard to believe that another year has passed us by. However, in doing so, another election year is upon us. The board of directors is seeking representatives to continue the ongoing work that is required for our strategic planning initiatives. Please encourage your fellow members to consider becoming involved at both the board and chapter levels. This is a time of change for our organization and I encourage all of you to take the next step with us. Your talents that have proven to be the foundation for this great organization, and they will be the foundation as we look forward to repositioning ourselves to continuously meet the needs of our members.

We are waiting for legal confirmation to have our name formally changed to "Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario," as voted into the constitution. The logo, which was voted on through our members' survey, will be introduced following the official name change. You will notice these changes on our website, and in our formal documentation.

The CSAO Conference will not be planned for this year. This will allow the board to work on other projects to improve our services. However, it is strongly suggested that our chapters continue to provide Education days for members. Remember, members can attend all Education days across the province. Chapters can work together to provide Education days if cost becomes a concern. All education days should be advertised on the Website for all of our members to be informed. Please let the Chapter Development directors know how they can assist in any way. We hope to see you there!

In conclusion, I cannot stress how important it is for you to become involved with the CSAO at any level. Your MDR experience, your ideas and your commitment to quality patient care is instrumental for our ongoing and future growth and development. Please contact your executive teams to inquire about coaching/mentoring opportunities, and please consider nominating someone that you feel would be valuable to our organization.

Wishing you and your families all the very best as we continue the journey into 2016.

Respectfully,

Denise Bosnjak
