Presidents Report

Hello, everyone:

The Board will be meeting on April 2-3, 2015, to determine and finalize the Constitutional changes to be brought forward for the members to vote on. They will then be listed on the website for your review.   Our Annual meeting will take place via OTN at many health care facilities throughout Ontario. Please contact your Chapter executive team to determine the location(s) in your area. We will provide a  finalized list of registered areas on the website prior to the meeting that will take place on May 21, 2015, at 5 p.m.

We are also continuing to plan for this year’s annual conference, "Partnering for Success, Raising the Bar in MDR." We have a great list of presenters to include:  key note speaker, CFL Legend, Michael "Pinball" Clemons. Please consider nominating a co worker/peer for the J&J Award. The J&J Award is given in recognition of a front line worker who has contributed to quality improvement, process change, education/mentoring, or innovation within their departments.  All of the information regarding this year's conference and awards is on the CSAO website, and will be in the CSAO magazine to be sent out later this spring.

As our fiscal year nears closer, we will soon be thinking about renewing our memberships for next year.  Look for new membership packages to include CSAO information and a welcome gift. We are looking forward to increasing our membership.  Membership forms will be available on the website as of June 1. New members are most welcome.

We are expecting the CSAO text book to be completed late May. Several colleges are awaiting its arrival to outline their programs for next year. We will continue to work towards updating the work book, course modules, and explore other educational opportunities this fall.    

I will look forward to hearing from you at the AGM in May, and seeing you in September at the conference.
