GAMMA CHAPTER REPORT

MARCH 2013

We have been working hard to bring an exciting venue to Chapter members. We have been looking at hosting an OTN meeting with a presentation by Minogue-Med from Montreal on the DeVinchie Robot System. This presentation is planned for April 2013 and we are awaiting confirmation.

We have sponsored our Education Coordinator Lori McGuire to attend the Theta Chapter Education Day on April 26-27, 2013, to scout out new Vendor Technology and Educational opportunities.

Helen Woods will be attending the IAHCSMM Annual Conference in May 2013 sponsored by The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario and the Gamma Chapter whereby she will scout out new technology, educational opportunities and the latest innovations, solutions and ideas in health care reprocessing. She will also touch base with key health care sector contacts and decision makers from North America to network with fellow health care professionals to bring back ideas for the Gamma Chapter Education weekend planned in the near future.

A meeting of the Gamma Chapter was held on March 28, 2013, at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario.

The Gamma Chapter CSAO course was held at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on February 13, 14, 15 and exam written on February 16^. There were 43 students in attendance. The class average was 87% with one student "Betty Frasier" receiving 100%. Congratulations, Betty!
