The CSAO executive is busy planning our annual conference and we are very excited about it! We have some wonderful speakers lined up and the theme this year is "Fundamental Reprocessing – Applications and Monitoring Quality." We have a variety of topics that I am sure you will find educational, including two workshops.

I will be representing CSAO at IAHCSMM in Louisville in May and look forward to connecting with our US network. In the coming months we will be reaching out to other Canadian provinces and in the future there may even be a national conference.

Finally, I would like to say to all of you in Medical Device Reprocessing that you do a wonderful job. Staff know the importance of recertification in our field to keep our knowledge current. To those of you who actively seek out courses, certification, information, and take part in competency testing, I congratulate you on keeping patients safe.
