CDA’s Young Professionals committee has circulated a survey to get ideas on how the Association and the Canadian dam industry should reach out to and support the next generation of dam professionals.

The Committee asks anyone interested in the topic to participate in the survey by Feb. 28. The results will be incorporated into the Committee’s presentation as part of CDA’s strategic planning in April 2015.

Education and Workshops
CDA is holding a workshop on emergency management for dams Feb. 24-25, 2015 in Ottawa. The workshop will identify the existing resources for emergency preparedness and management that might be applicable to dams; discuss how communities prepare for and respond to emergencies and how dam managers might work with them; and consider what the dam community needs for the future.
