The incredible 2025 CDA Conference in Saskatoon was made even more special as we recognized the outstanding achievements and contributions of individuals in our dam safety community.

This year's recipients truly embody the spirit of excellence and dedication that drives our industry forward:

Leading the Way:

• Andy Small, M.Sc., P.Eng., FEIC received the prestigious Inge Anderson Award of Merit, recognizing his exceptional contributions to advancing dam safety in Canada.

Service Champions:

• The Peter Halliday Award for Service celebrates two remarkable individuals: Michael Cyr, P.Eng., PMP and Bethanie Parker, P.Eng., whose dedication has strengthened our community immeasurably.

Organizational Excellence:

• AtkinsRéalis and the University of Alberta's Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering earned our Corporate Award for their outstanding commitment to the dam safety field.

Lifetime of Dedication: We welcomed five distinguished professionals into Life Membership, honoring their decades of service: Johanne Bibeau, Ing.; Harvey McLeod, P.Eng.; Dr. Caius Priscu, Ph.D., P.Eng.; Greg Snyder, P.Eng., FEC; and Dr. Michel Tremblay, Ph.D., P.Eng. Each has left an indelible mark on our industry.

Pushing Boundaries:

• The Published Paper Award goes to an incredible international collaboration for their groundbreaking “Life Loss Consequence Assessment Model Benchmarking Study”—a testament to the power of global cooperation in advancing dam safety.
• The Site C Clean Energy Project earned the Constructed Project Award of Excellence, showcasing Canadian engineering at its finest.

Future Leaders: Our next generation continues to inspire! Congratulations to:
