CDA supporting companies to develop international business

CDA has received approval from Global Affairs Canada for funding of selected initiatives to support international business development by Canadian companies. This is part of CDA’s international strategy and lead-up to ICOLD 2019 in Ottawa.

Events in Vienna and Brazil are coming up quickly. CDA will be participating in the Exhibition at the ICOLD Congress in Vienna, 1-7 July 2018, distributing information about CDA products and services that are available from Canadian companies. In Brazil, 17-21 September 2018, we will be at the Third International Dam World conference in Foz do Iguassu, where the CDA Workshop on Dam Safety Reviews will be offered.

In both Vienna and Brazil, CDA will work with the local Canadian Trade Commissions to arrange networking events for Canadian representatives and their potential clients. We invite all Canadian companies to take part in these events and promote participation with their international partners.

CDA has commissioned and released research into business development opportunities for Canadian companies in Africa and the Indian sub-continent.

The research will help Canadian companies identify the countries where they might want to pursue business opportunities, and some of the risks of doing so.

A summary of the Market Research has been posted on CDA’s International Business Development website.
