Call for Papers: CDA 2017

The 2017 CDA Conference invites papers and presentations on regulation and dam safety for dams of all types, including: 

• Evolving dam safety regulations and their application to large and small dams 
• Innovative means for dam regulators to lead industry improvements without legislative change 
• State of practice and issues faced by dam owners 
• Prioritization of dam safety improvements 
• Construction and maintenance: methods and case studies 
• Defining failure and learning lessons from operational incidents 
• Scalable and adaptable dam safety management systems, monitoring and instrumentation 
• Design floods and spillway design 
• Mining dam engineering from construction to end-of-life 
• Dam decommissioning 
• Dam break analysis and inundation mapping 
• Emergency management 
• Public safety - practices and operational considerations 
• International advances in practice 
• State of practice for dam refurbishment or decommissioning 

Authors who are interested in presenting papers are invited to submit abstracts of 300 to 500 words in either English or French by January 31, 2017
