CDA postponing annual conference

Print Print this Article | Send to Colleague

A few days ago, the CDA announced that it was postponing the annual conference to the fall of 2021. The host city remains Winnipeg.

Like all organizations, the CDA had been monitoring COVID-19 from the start and assessing its impacts on day-to-day operations including the planning of the annual conference. The organizing committee after carefully weighing various options made the difficult decision to recommend the postponement of CDA 2020 to the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors fully supported this recommendation and staff is now working with Tourism Winnipeg and the venues to secure new dates for the fall of 2021. Please continue to monitor the CDA website and newsletter for information about the annual conference.

Individuals who submitted abstracts
For individuals who submitted abstracts, the technical committee will be issuing a new Call for Abstracts in the fall. Individuals can determine at that time whether they wish to resubmit, revise or remove their abstract for consideration.

Exhibitors
Exhibitors that committed to Winnipeg can rest assured that the CDA will continue to hold their booth space for 2021. For any exhibitors that may need to adjust their plans, please contact Saskia at management@cda.ca.

Sponsors
The CDA thanks those firms that committed early to CDA 2020. Sponsors should note that they have been promoted on the CDA website for more than two months now and we will continue to promote you until the fall of 2021!
