Board working on new Mission Statement, by-law revisions

The Canadian Dam Association is conducting its first thorough review of its vision, mission and values since 2003.

While the formal period for member input into the new Vision, Mission and Values has ended, the Task Group responsible will be accepting comments up to the time the by-law amendment is approved by the Board of Directors for presentation to the membership. Comments should be made to Bob Patrick or Richard Trimble, co-chairs of the Mission Statement Task Group, via 2016mission@CDA.ca.

Because the current mission statement is in the bylaw, there needs to be a by-law amendment to adopt any changes. By-law amendments must be approved by the whole membership, so an online vote will be conducted early in 2016. The amendments, if approved, would take effect immediately.
