The 2015 Conference Committee has organized four workshops to explore specific technical topics in depth:

Part 2 of the Tailings Dam Breach Analysis: Advancing the State of Practice will take the concepts developed last year to the next level;
The Dam Safety Reviews workshop will introduce CDA’s draft technical bulletin and give participants direct input into the bulletin’s content;
A half-day workshop will help delegates apply the 2014 Technical Bulletin on the application of dam safety guidelines to mining dams. This topic has gained importance with the public and regulatory attention being paid to tailings dams since the Mt. Polley incident in August 2014;
CDA’s award-winning Dams and Public Safety workshop is in-depth training on creating and implementing a management program for public safety around dams.

The workshops supplement three days of keynote, panel and technical paper presentations, an exhibit hall, networking opportunities and activities for companions.

Complete details are on the Conference website. The 2015 Conference will be held October 3 to 8 at the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale hotel.

Registration is now open via the CDA Events List
