The Canadian Dam Association (CDA) has continued to work on issues coming out of the Independent Expert Engineering Investigation and Review Panel into the failure of the tailings storage facility at the Mount Polley Mine in British Columbia on Aug. 4, 2014.

In a preliminary review of the Panel’s report, the CDA identified a few issues that require further investigation and comment. Also, CDA is being consulted by other key stakeholders, such as the Mining Association of Canada, the Mining Association of British Columbia and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geotechnicians of BC, for its insights.

More information on CDA’s reaction to some of the issues raised by the Expert Panel is on a special Mt. Polley webpage. Click on "More Information".
