Young Professionals Committee Update

Big things are happening with CDA's Young Professionals Committee! If you're an emerging professional in dam, mining, or water management, there's never been a better time to get involved with this dynamic group that's shaping the future of our industry.

The YP Committee is launching an exciting podcast series that will spotlight voices and experiences from young professionals across the sector. Think career journeys, innovative ideas, and technical insights from peers who are navigating the same challenges and opportunities you are. This is about creating a platform where the next generation of dam experts can share what they're learning and where they're heading.

Beyond the podcast, the committee is planning technical workshops, networking sessions, and a University Outreach Program that will bring in-person events to multiple provinces. These sessions will connect with students and recent graduates, introduce them to the CDA community, and inspire the next wave of dam safety professionals. The committee is also strengthening international connections through ICOLD working groups and encouraging YP contributions to CDA committees, publications, and events.
