New Survey – Critical Review of the Dam Safety Guidelines and Technical Bulletins

The Dam Safety Committee (DSC) has been examining the current (2013) version of the CDA Guidelines and the various Technical Bulletins, many of which date to 2007. We are anxious to find an efficient way to reach out to CDA members to get their opinion as to how well the Guidelines serve them in their professional lives, and how this all contributes to our collective endeavours to protect the public from the potential undesirable impact of dams.

To this end, the DSC has put together a questionnaire to get feedback in a structured fashion that will facilitate the compilation of responses. The questionnaire should not be viewed as an examination of your knowledge and professional practice but an assessment of the adequateness of the Guidelines to provide the background information and suggest the process to accomplish the various tasks associated with dam safety.
