Changes in Board Members of the Canadian Dam Association

As of October 25, the following new Board members were elected for the coming year:

  • Mike Cyr from Klohn Crippen Berger is the CDA’s new Vice President.  He will serve three years on the Board moving through the Executive positions of Vice President, President, and finally Past President. Mike is a member of the Executive Committee. 

The following volunteers were confirmed to two-year terms on the Board: 

  • Navin Gautam from Ontario Power Generation is the CDA’s new Secretary-Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee.
  • Benjamin McGuigan from Gemtec Consulting Engineers and Scientists is the new Director for New Brunswick-PEI.
  • Brent Craig from Ontario Power Generation is the new Director for Ontario.
  • Michel Julien from Agnico Eagle Mines is the new Director-at-Large.

Directors elected to a second consecutive term on the CDA’s Board include Javid Iqbal from Alberta Environment & Parks as Director for Alberta, Eric Péloquin from Hydro-Québec as Director for Québec, and David Morissette from Morrison Hershfield as Director for the Territories.

Outgoing Board members, who have contributed significantly to the Association through their volunteer service, had terms which ended: Catrin Bryan, Michel Dolbec, and Bethanie Parker.

The members of the CDA welcome Marie-Hélène Briand from Hatch to the position of CDA President.
