The imperative to protect the existing U.S. coal fleet and to advance technology and environmental answers to the EPA Clean Power Plan is paramount. Balancing environmental and economic objectives is a challenge in many countries, and one that the U.S. has met very successfully for decades. The key to achieving global emissions reductions – whether conventional emissions or greenhouse gas reduction – is support for technology advancement. Clean coal offers the technology path forward to achieve goals for human development and environmental improvement. To be discussed:
• Current status of higher efficiency, lower emissions coal power plants will be discussed
• Emerging technologies aimed at the twin goals of improving efficiency and reducing costs while also reducing carbon emissions
• Policy parity for coal vis-a-vis other sources of electricity generation
• Leveraging the self-interest driven decisions of governments and corporations

In the United States, it is essential that elected officials understand the importance of the above and "campaign 2016" provides an opportunity to address energy abundance, policy parity and jobs.

Join us as Fred Palmer discusses these issues with the ultimate objective of restoring an "All of the Above" energy policy in America and improving world energy solutions.
