Member Moment

Member since 2011

I am the chief operating officer at Pharmacists Manitoba, the advocacy organization for pharmacists in the province.

My CSAE journey began in 2011 when I enrolled in the CAE program. I spent the next three years immersed in competencies, growing my network, and gaining insights. After receiving my designation as a CAE in 2014, I joined CSAE Alberta’s Network Council and am currently serving as chair. I have participated in CSAE's Leaders Forum and met so many amazing individuals. I am continually inspired by the passion and dedication of CSAE volunteers, staff and the larger association community. I have enjoyed every step on my CSAE journey to date and will continue to do so in the future.

Excerpt: “By taking on the responsibility to govern, board members must assume the role of visionaries. As the organization’s trustees, they must be in touch with the needs of those they serve, keep abreast of internal and external changes that may have an impact on the way the organization conducts business, and have the confidence and leadership skills that allow them to do just that. Governing isn’t easy.”
