This year, CSAE staff and board recommend their top picks!

These quick, high-impact presentations offer the freedom to introduce new ideas or solutions outside of the longer workshop format — and work well for those with a more conversational presentation style. They consist of 15-minute sessions OR “20x20” talks (i.e., 20 slides, 20 seconds each) and are scheduled during the concurrent sessions.

Member Moment

Member since 2002

As the CEO of ISSofBC, I have been a member of CSAE for many years. While ISSofBC is a direct- service organization, the value of CSAE extends far beyond membership organizations. Access to resources that are applicable to any organization abound and provide great information and direction. The board development and training provided by CSAE with supporting material has undoubtedly made the ISSofBC board of directors stronger and more relevant. The annual conference offers an array of learning experiences that enhance leadership skills, knowledge and capacity. Fellow members in attendance are always eager to share, exchange ideas and are very much part of the learning experience. Without question, my membership in CSAE has been of enormous value and has helped me be a more knowledgeable, effective leader.

Member since 2018

I am a senior consultant with AMCES, and a digital strategist and communications professional. I specialize in technology and tactical communications to support and advance not-for-profit associations’ strategic plans. I also serve as a part-time chief technology officer on an ongoing contractual basis. I am developing my consultative practice with small to mid-sized associations and joined the CSAE to network and contribute to the local association community. I am a member of the CSAE Ottawa Gatineau communications committee and love engaging with my fellow members. This is one of the best organizations I’ve been a part of with respect to learning and networking. Never a dull moment!
