Start the Countdown - Eight Days to meet Dec. 31 GE Requirements
All institutions of higher education with programs subject to the Gainful Employment regulations must complete two primary tasks by December 31, 2015:
1. All institutions with programs subject to the Gainful Employment regulations MUST ensure that their Primary Destination Point Administrators and their Secondary Destination Point Administrators of the Primary TG Number (Destination Point/Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) Mailbox) for their organization are authorized and that they have added the new Data Appeal and Challenge Solution (DCAS) Online Service to a Destination Point (TG Number/SAIG Mailbox); and
2. Unless an institution has submitted an E-App that resulted, or will result, in a new Program Participation Agreement (PPA) issued to the institution after July 1, 2015 and before December 31, 2015, those PPAs will have the required GE program certification included; an institution’s most senior executive officer must sign a certification that each of the institution’s currently eligible GE programs listed on its Eligibility and Certification Approval Report (ECAR) meets the requirements of Section 668.414(d) –
- Approved by accrediting agency and state
- Is programmatically accredited if that is required for that profession in the state
- Graduates qualify to meet licensing or certification exam requirements to work in the state, if any
