AACS School Receives Best Continental Academy Award
 Bellus Academy was honored with a renowned international beauty education award — the Intercoiffure Mondial Best Continental Academy – North America Region. Bellus Academy owner and President Lynelle Lynch accepted the award this month during the Night of Stars gala held at the Salle Wagram in Paris. Celebrating the 90th anniversary of Intercoiffure Mondial, the gala attracted nearly 600 elite hairdressers and beauty brands from 56 nations. The "Best Continental Academy" award recognizes beauty and wellness schools around the globe that have achieved a demonstrated record of excellence in educating future hairstylists. Mentoring Experiences Underway for AACS School Students
 Although still in beauty school, BCL Mentoring Competition winners are already getting a taste of what it’s like to work with "rock stars" in the hair world! On September 9, Bellus Academy student Jamie Bailey joined CoCre8 founders and celebrated platform artists John Simpson and Christopher Dove at DNA Studio in Hollywood for a model prep day experience including cut and color. And just this week, Kenneth Schuler Schools of Cosmetology student Delvina Jeffries worked alongside her mentor, 2013 NAHA Editorial Stylist of the Year Sherri Jessee, at a photo shoot for Miss Grand United States Lauren Peterson as she prepares for international pageant competition. More mentorship experiences will be shared soon so stay tuned to WINK.

7 Charts that Show Who's Dominating Mobile
 The mobile Web is exploding, on average growing twice as fast as traffic to apps, according to comScore’s latest mobile report. Monthly visitors to the top 1,000 mobile Web properties rose to 9 million people on average, from fewer than 6 million a year ago, the report shows. The average traffic of the top 1,000 mobile websites grew 42 percent, while the average traffic of the top 1,000 apps grew 21 percent. The rise in mobile traffic on smartphones is viewed as a recruiting path for digital publishers to turn visitors into more engaged app users, who are even more loyal readers, more like the people who frequent the most powerful social and entertainment apps.
