Spring Executive Retreat Early Bird Extended Deadline
The Early Bird registration deadline was extended for the 2015 Spring Executive Retreat May 1-3 and Financial Aid Workshop May 3-4 in Scottsdale, Ariz. If you register before Friday, April 10, you can still receive the Early Bird Member Rates. You’re not going to want to miss this year’s event and exclusive Owners Only dinner. During the dinner, AACS will discuss recent lawsuits against beauty schools, how to handle the media and negative press, and school owners will have opportunities to talk to each other. Beauty Changes Lives 2015 Legacy Award Honors Leo Passage — New Scholarship Announced
The beauty industry united on Saturday, March 21, at the Art Institute of Chicago to celebrate the legacy of a man who revolutionized the business of beauty education. The Beauty Changes Lives Foundation (BCL) posthumously honored Leo Passage, founder of Pivot Point International, Inc. While the Legacy Award highlighted a legend and spotlighted NEXTGEN talent, it also served as the venue for the announcement of the BCL|Leo Passage Endowment Fund, a postgraduate scholarship aimed at helping educators expand and enhance their creativity. Those awarded scholarships will experience Pivot Point International’s Creative Jam Session; a proprietary workshop that challenges the artist to translate, interpret and fuse international and local cultures into their work.
