CEA Convention News Delivered to You
The CEA Annual Convention kicks off Friday! Educators nation-wide will join together in Fort Lauderdale, FL for education, networking receptions and downtime on the beach! We will be sending our membership the daily e-newsletter ConventionLink, so even if you’re not going to CEA you’ll be able to see pics, read recaps about some of the sessions and see why teachers everywhere deem CEA as the highlight of the year. A Roaring Twenties Party, Get Ready
As
AACS celebrates 90 years as an association at the AACS Annual Convention &
Expo, November 14-17 in Phoenix, the Government Relations Committee is putting
together an exciting event for attendees and exhibitors. We’ll all celebrate in
style with a live band, fundraiser, drinks, appetizers and a live photo booth
at this year’s Roaring Twenties Party! Registration for the Annual Convention
will open soon—but we thought you’d like to get a head start on your shopping.
Although ’20s attire isn’t required for the party, it’s encouraged and there
will be prizes.

Massage Scholarship Opens Monday
The
BCL Massage Therapy Education Scholarship will award six new/prospective
massage therapy students a $2,000 scholarship toward tuition. Students cannot
be active in a massage program prior to the opening date of the competition,

Full Nail Scholarship Competition Open Now
The BCL | CND | Tippi Hedren Nail Scholarship Program is now
accepting applications. This scholarship program is open to prospective and
newer students entering a nail program at an AACS member school. Ten winners
will receive 100% of their program tuition costs funded (up to $5,000). The

Think Big, Act Local
AACS
member Altoona Beauty School placed a promotional ad in a regional "Spotlight
on Pittsburgh" edition of Seventeen magazine. The
ad delivered the school’s message to readers of a premiere, national
publication targeting young women interested in beauty, but tailored
distribution only to readers in its market area. That’s smart marketing!
