Long-time AACS Member Honored for Lifetime Achievements
Last week Kenneth Shuler, owner of Kenneth Shuler Schools of Cosmetology, long-time AACS member and GRC contributor, was presented with the "Order of the Palmetto." The "Order of the Palmetto" is South Carolina’s highest civilian honor and is awarded to individuals who have exemplified extraordinary lifetime achievements and service to the state and nation. His company, which was started in 1981, has grown to seven schools across the state of South Carolina, with plans to add two more campuses later this year. AACS congratulates Kenneth Shuler on this great honor!

CEA Convention Early Bird Deadline Approaching
The CEA Annual Convention is the nation’s largest event for beauty, skin and wellness educators. This year’s convention will be on the sunny beaches of Fort Lauderdale, FL and will include three packed days of methodology, motivational and technical skills training. Become a Certified Higher Education Professional
CHEP certification awarded by The National Association of State Administrators and Supervisors of Private Schools (NASASPS) recognizes employees of career schools, college and universities who strive for excellence in their respective positions. CHEPs have successfully completed 48 hours of approved training in their area of concentration and are required to complete eight hours of approved training annually to maintain their certification. The AACS Online Training Center offers these courses. Watch this video to see the importance of becoming a CHEP.
