Reception for the Spring Conference Keynote
AACS is pleased to welcome Congressman Robert C. Scott from Virginia to bring this year’s Keynote Address at the Spring Operations Conference. He is the leading candidate to succeed retiring Representative George Miller as either the Chairman or Ranking Member of the important House Education and Workforce Committee in the 114th Congress. Last-Minute Spring Conference Details

Educator of the Year Nom’s: Deadline May 1
The annual N.F. Cimaglia Educator of the Year Award is a prestigious award given to one educator each year who has exhibited the most significant contribution toward upgrading professional standards of educational excellence, particularly within the areas of student involvement during the immediate past year. Nominees must be members of CEA or employed at an AACS member school, currently employed, have at least three years of active employment as a cosmetology educator and can provide evidence of significant contributions to educational excellence during the immediate past year.
 
While Milady is proud to be the primary sponsor of this award, it is not required for nominees to teach using Milady-based curriculum in their school. The recipient will receive a complimentary convention registration, roundtrip airfare and lodging for the CEA Convention, $2,500 and other prizes. Deadline to apply is May 1.
