Legally Prepare Yourself and Save Money Down the Road
Attend 2014’s Legal Workshop administered by Ed Cramp of Duane Morris, LLP for $300 (with breakfast and lunch included) on Friday, May 2, in Phoenix, AZ (in conjunction with the Spring Operations Conference). Space is limited to 30 seats, so register now!

"Last year I attended the Legal Workshop at the Spring Operations Conference, not sure what to expect. After it was over, I couldn’t believe all of the information Ed Cramp and his firm provided the attendees! The topics covered the most relevant legal issues our schools face today and the materials we received allowed me to take all of the answers to my questions home to our academies. The format for the workshop was very engaging. Ed and his team encouraged interaction and the conversations that we experienced created a great environment for best practice sharing. At the end of the day, I will say the price of admission was well worth it. If I called an attorney to discuss even one topic that was part of the workshop I would have spent double the price that was charged for participating. Today we face many legal issues that affect our schools and my solution to this problem is to make sure I am sitting in the front row with my ears wide open." —David Yocum, Bellus Academy (Manhattan, KS)

State Relations Committee

Meet Your AACS State Rep: Texas
Carol Woodard (Texas)
Education Trainer for Ogle School Hair.Skin.Nails

How long have you been in the beauty school business?
14 years

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
My husband and I are Eagles groupies! We have been following them since the ’70s and even attended three concerts within five days this past February. We love life in the fast lane and take it the limit every chance we get.

Why is it important for you to be involved with AACS and the State Relations Committee?
There is strength in numbers, and when you add that to the level of commitment that AACS has to the beauty industry, a real difference can be made. Education is the key to the survival of every aspect of life and the communication highway that exist within AACS is phenomenal! I’m honored to be a part of such a dedicated group of like-minded individuals.
