This special recognition will promote awareness of the goals and ideals of institutions of higher education that educate the nation’s licensed beauty and wellness professionals.

The N.F. Cimaglia Educator of the Year Award is a prestigious award given to one educator each year who has exhibited the most significant contribution toward upgrading professional standards of educational excellence, particularly within the areas of student involvement. Nominate a deserving educator today —maybe even yourself! 

Eligibility Criteria
Nominees must be active members of CEA who are currently employed.

At least three (3) years of active employment as a cosmetology educator and can provide evidence of significant contributions to educational excellence during the immediate past year.

While Milady is proud to be the primary sponsor of this award, it is not required for nominees to teach using Milady-based curriculum in their school. ALL INSTRUCTORS from ALL SCHOOLS are welcome to apply as long as they meet the criteria.

This week finds 46 state legislatures actively meeting. Three states – Utah, Arkansas, and New Mexico will be adjourning 2019 legislative sessions today, tomorrow and Saturday respectively.  Additionally, the crossover deadline in Washington State, by which bills need to be passed by their legislative chamber of origin in order to remain viable, was Wednesday, March 13.  As always, AACS will keep you apprised of the latest state legislative developments of interest to member schools.
