Wisconsin Eliminates Manager Licenses and Continuing Education Requirements Arizona Bill Pre-filed to Exempt Blow Drying and Hot Tool Usage from Licensure
In Wisconsin, both SB 108 and SB 109 received final legislative approval on November 10th after the Senate concurred with Assembly amendment. As enacted, SB 108 eliminates continuing education requirements for active cosmetology, aesthetics, manicuring, and electrology licensees.
Arizona HB 2011 was pre-filed on Monday. This 2018 measure, introduced by Representative Michelle Ugenti-Rita (R) of Scottsdale, would exempt from licensure "persons who dry, style, arrange, dress, curl, hot iron or shampoo and condition hair if the service does not include the application of reactive chemicals to permanently straighten, curl or alter the structure of the hair."
